FUNGO is an artist collective based in Lisbon [Portugal], who puts together people from different areas [graphic design, cultural management and programming, video art]. Its work is centred on the development and promotion of artistic projects from different art forms, but specially focused on music and media.
In 2014 FUNGO started a new stage of its journey, becoming also a record label. FUNGO LABEL will not be tied to any genre. It intends to release projects which it believes in and identifies with, each edition will be worth on it's own without having to match a particular line.
There will be no aesthetic limits or restrictions of any kind. The releases are limited and may have variable formats, without a regular basis.
On 2016 started to edit only on cassette format. Between 2016 and middle of 2017, Fungo has released 4 portuguese artist albums: Over8, The Cage Cabarrett, Citizen:kane & Hobo and MMNO & POLIDO. For each one, a visual artist has been invited to do the artwork.
