Open Records is a forward-thinking electronic music imprint based out of the lush tropical paradise of Cairns, Australia. Nestled between the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest (the only place where to World Heritage areas meet), it's a pretty special place to be and their moniker reflects this, mirroring the wide open natural surrounds with a epic, outdoor brand of house and techno.

Originally, Open Records' main aim was to provide a base for Australian artists and DJs to make their mark felt on the international stage. The reality is that the label has become much more than that, and over 160 tracks later they can now claim to be one of Australia's most recognised and respected independent dance labels, with a strong following in all corners of the globe and a string of chart successes across a variety of genres on Beatport.
