This Is Music Ltd is a record label and music management company based in London, UK. The company was set up by Oli Isaacs in 2007. This Is Music Ltd manages artists, producers and DJs including Simian Mobile Disco, Little Boots, Findlay Brown, Erol Alkan, Boy 8-Bit, Blondes, Kisses, Princeton and Tensnake. This Is Music Ltd also oversees the Annie Mac Presents events and runs an independent record label. Signings to the label include MOBO-nominated DJ Mujava, London-based Metal band Invasion, singer-songwriter Findlay Brown, Manchester-based band Sisters of Transistors, South London's Boy 8-Bit, disco veteran Alexander Robotnick and more recently; Monarchy, Young Fathers, The Diamond Sea and Kisses.
In 2009 This Is Music Ltd set up two sub-labels. More Music is a collaborative partnership with features editor Ralph Moore of dance music magazine Mixmag. More Music concentrates on quality house and techno music. More Music's first release was the Timo Mass track "Bite The Dust" with remixes by John Digweed and Simon Baker. This release was followed by a brand new track by producer Arthur Baker “Tear Down The Walls." 2010 has seen other stand out releases from Mighty Mouse, Gingy & Bordello and Rachel Barton, with a forthcoming Mowgli release before the year is out.
Early 2011 releases include an eagerly awaited Midland record with a remix from Radio Slave and a Matt Walsh record set for release in January.
The other sub label is Less Music which focuses on the more abstract and outre. Less Music kicked off with a 12” featuring remixes of Invasion by dubstep innovator Shackelton. January 2011 will see the second release on the sub label which is the Shackled EP by Drugg. The release includes a reshape from Pole and a remix from "Visions In The Trees."
