Newcastle (North-East of England) based 22 Digit Records was originally set up in 2008 to release uncompromising underground House and Techno.
22 Digit has featured original music and remixes from established names like Matt Tolfrey and Ekkohause plus helped launch the careers of now established artists like Michael Mclardy and William Welt. 22 Digit now boasts a small and beloved family of talented producers and DJ's, and has an inner circle of core artists including Alan Svartr, Melos & Kyber, Midicult, YokoO, Ludowick, Jerico, Pete Weasel, Ricardo Jefferson and Tom Ellis amongst others.
22 Digit was never set up with the aim of follow trends but on the other hand neither does it go out of its way to avoid them. The only thing that 22 Digit tried to do is avoid being boring and only sticking to one narrow subgenre of music. The most important thing is that all the 22 Digit artists are passionate about music, and that there music reaches out to other passionate people.
