Yippiee, as a brand for the filtertypen´s activities in event-management, was established 2006, a few years after the filtertypen started their carrer as a dj-duo in hannover.
In the summer 2010 Filtertypen decided to release their floor-filling track „After Laughter“ on their own, together with Benny Ferkel who was working with the Guys for years.
With a start-up-ready brand and a floor-approved EP, it was time to turn yippiee into a record-label and it went really well.
The first release on Yippiee „Filtertypen – Laughing Bird EP“ has been in the sales-charts for months as vinyl and mp3 and is still running in the clubs every weekend.
Nowerdays, yippiee is releasing their fifth release – three vinyls with twelve well-known artists which played at the famous „treibgut“ events in hannover in the past 5 years.
Beside their label-activities, the guys behind yippiee are the residents of a weekly party, working together with school-kids in workshops, running a equipment-rental-company and working for different kind of media-jobs from visual-art to marketing.
Yippiee is not a record-label which want to be on top of anything, yippiee is a small but effective collaboration of creative and motivated friends with the focus on having a nice time, making good music and esspacially having great Partys.
