Dark Digital Underground is an American Independent Record Label specializing in Electronic Dance Music, with it's primary place of business located in Brooklyn, NYC. The company was founded in 2009 by Felipe Cersosimo, better known for his work in the techno / tech-house genres under the alias Modular Punk. At first DDU was intended to serve only as a release platform for Modular Punk. DDU as a true indie record company, a business model and a creative concept, has come to transform itself into a small boutique of roughly 6 artists with a very much cooperative albeit hierarchical structure. As a boutique record label, Dark Digital Underground, Inc. seeks to push the boundaries of the status quo, leaving no genre untouched and defying all convention in the process.
