  • We entered the club with great anticipation as we were about to witness one of America's best loved Dj's playing Dirty Chunky Funky House in the frontroom with John Devvechis, Jason Bye and Illya on the Terrace and our very own Alex Taylor and Goodwill were set to lift the roof at Sydney's very own Superclub "Home" at Cockle Bay. There was a great vibe around the whole club with a fabulous line up for the night ahead with a mixed diverse crowd. First up on the decks in the Front Room was "together at home" resident Alex Taylor who never fails to get the crowd pumping with his banging funky tunes. Despite the rain which usually deters us from leaving the couch let alone venturing out into the big wet city, the dancefloor filled out quickly with the crowd securing their favourite spot in time for 1am when Sneak was to grace the decks with his presence. As usual Alex churned out some chunky tunes with a banging bassline and set the vibe for a great night to come. We ventured around the club and there wasn't a bare spot to be seen. Almost everywhere we went throughout the club you could hear people singing "fix my sink" - everyone in anticipation that he would play the much loved song that has made DJ Sneak a household name throughout Sydney. We made our way back to the front room at 1am when DJ Sneak appeared behind the decks wearing an LA Lakers basketball singlet (despite being from Chicago himself). He started off fairly soft and funky and progressed into chucky banging house with even a hint of the r n b feel at times. This isn't the normal sound that we are all used to hearing @ home but everyone seemed to take to it well and the crowd was pumping with energy. Walking past the Silver Room on our way up to the terrace we heard Tainted Love by Soft Cell (WTF?), I thought I was at Retro @ Bristol Arms Hotel for a second. Up on the Terrace John Devecchis playing a bit of R n B funk finished his storming set handing over the decks to Jason Bye who started off his trademark terrace set. Making our way back down to the Front Room to enjoy the rest of Sneaks set we made it just in time to hear "fix my sink" mixed with "I wish somebody could fix my sink" pounding through the speakers. The atmosphere was amazing with everyone jumping around and Chemical Kenny up the front banging his head in his usual style. After Dj Sneak finished his set, Goodwill got on played his tunes wearing his hunting hat looking for Easter bunnies as El Maestro Dj Sneak had time to sign autographs for his many fans in the crowd.
