Just a few releases old, Amsterdam's Trouw club and its eponymously-named label comes correct with this release by resident DJ Nuno Dos Santos. "Hamming" is a gloriously buoyant piece of sunshine techno. Its original mix is glass half-full music, but crucially never strays into cliché. There's a dense stab of bass that permeates throughout, but the general feeling induced is one of being enveloped in warmth. Dozzy's remix provides a nice foil, keeping to a traditional dub arrangement with swathes of sound passing through, raising and lowering the intensity as they do. "Ottil Part 2" is no slouch either. Completely different in tone to "Hamming," it's a brash, percussive track whose effortless momentum is the perfect accompaniment to the stammering vocals.
