Given Madtech's infatuation with the contemporary British house scene, it was surely only a matter of time before Kerri Chandler extended an invite to the on-form pairing of Waze & Odyssey. On "Be Right There," a rapid slew of sultry vocal tidbits lead us into the first set of sluggish kicks. Here W&O capture that trademark '90s swing but with all attitude of a teenager dragging his feet. Indeed, were it not for its danceable framework, there might be little of note here. Citizen fares better, removing superfluous elements and enshrouding the original in a canopy of humidity, with delicate keys adding tenderness to the intensity. On "Found a Rhythm," arresting vocals soar out over a hotbed of rapidly ascending '90s house stabs. In all its brazen simplicity, W&O manage to pinpoint that archetypal old school vibe.
