The Black Dog - The Return Ov Bleep

  • The Black Dog founded the arts base Electronic Supper Club to bring creatives together in their local area. The project operates as a Sheffield-focused media space, with community events being staged on a regular basis. Inspired by Electronic Supper Club's endeavours, this 4-track EP also acts as a taster for the trio's forthcoming tenth studio album, Tranklements. Starting with political commentary, "Bleep Four" suspends cinematic futurism over a growling sub that steadily builds to become the prominent feature, while the swirling industrialism of "Bleep Two" aligns more with the trio's 2011 Liber series. Reminiscent of Orbital's mid-'90s output, "Bleep One" is the standout inclusion, with its contrasting tribal-electro and jump-up rave stabs, before "Bleep Five" completes the package in a bland wash of acid-trance.
