- The next release on the Play Breaks Label comes courtesy of Sign 13. 2 new productions from Dren, both displaying some fresh sounds in the way of breaks productions.
On the a-side is the unique production, 4th Degree. The track features some smooth break beats while a quirky electro melody trickles throughout the production. As the track builds, layers of bleepy sounds and loops intertwine producing a quite unique sounding production. Not only do the sounds remain quirky, but also the beats are in themselves, quite unique and vibrant. An interesting track to say the least.
On the flip is J-Jak. The beats get chunkier on the b-side as the track also makes good use of a subtle guitar riff early on. Deep into the track the electro melodies come in and take the track to another level. The guitar and electro elements meet late in the track for good measure. Solid.
2 pretty sound productions. The a-side shows a bit of originality, while the b-side uses a bit more force to get the message across. Worth a look.
