  • The 5th release on Black & White Records comes from a debut artist with the name of Roger Case. His production name Shanti is put to use here, and he delivers two tribal house productions in this release. Physical Presence kicks off proceedings and it begins with some tough drums patterns. Intricate sounds feature throughout as well as a pretty deep baseline that gives the track its essential groove. Some smooth synths also feature as the track maintains a similar flow throughout. On the backside is Momentum. This track focuses more on the drum elements of the production. The track is yet again probably a little too formulaic, with no real standout elements to speak of, however, the drum loops and subtle effects are well produced. Not a bad release, as it well produced, and would appeal to those who like the intricacies of a production. One must feel though that it lacks something making it a standout release that you would hear at a record shop. But if dark tribal music tickles your fancy, then this may be your cup of tea.
