Chable & Fernandez - Before You Break On Me

  • The 2nd release on Jonathan Lisle’s (RA columnist) label, M Theory, comes from Chable & Fernandez. The two Melbourne lads combine to produce Before You Break On Me, which follows the nice and eerie first release by Naveen G. Very much in form at the moment, Luke Chable joins forces with another production hotshot in Jono Fernandez, a man who has had great success with Zero Tolerance in particular. Before You Break On Me is a beautiful atmospheric piece of breakbeat. Smooth flowing beats interact with soothing vocal chords and a deep chugging baseline. The arrangement flows quite nicely with the culmination of sounds, atmosphere and effects a major highlight in a somewhat emotional production, that peaks towards the latter half in true bliss. Before You Beat My Box is definitely a chunkier version of the a-side, and sees a tasty b-line ride the production for the most part. The atmospheric elements of this mix kick in towards the middle part, as nice flowing melodies surround a nice constructed string pattern, however, this production is pretty devastating throughout. Two excellent productions by the Aussie duo that really showcases how much talent these two have. It is no wonder why Lisle was keen to sign this up for his new imprint.
