Sound Therapy 05 @ Bar Europa, Sydney

  • Another Sound Therapy night loomed upon us and it was yet again another guaranteed night of solid fun, good tunes and good people (read: eye candy for the young lads in attendance). For those of you who are unaware of the Sound Therapy party, it’s put on by the lads at mixset (www.mixset.com), and they do an incredible job each party to turn the nice and cosy Bar Europa into a great venue for house and progressive by making sure the sound is always top class. This was the 5th installment of Sound Therapy and they yet again delivered the goods in that department. The DJ''s on the night, however, delivered in the good tunes department. Jamie Palmer and Brendan Watson opened up proceedings and slowly but surely got the people on their feet with some nice smooth house grooves. When Justin, Piero & Robbie Loewe went back to back to back for a couple of hours, people were well and truly into the swing of things, as the tunes gather in pace and chunkiness. Peak Time definitely hit with the arrival of Kris Foo to the decks, with sure fire hits such as Chable & Bonnici’s ‘Ride’ and arguably the track of the night with Ajami & Micali’s remix of ‘It Scares Me’ by Christian Cambas. Those that were left after Kris were treated to some late night beats with Adam Howell, which included Sasha’s ‘Xpander’. All in all, it was another great night at Bar Europa, and yet another successful set of events for the Sound Therapy crew. They seem to have the ingredients to a good night out down pat. A great selection of fresh DJ talent and the proven performers, combined with great crisp sound at a nice and comfortable venue seems to be the recipe of choice for Sound Therapy. It seems as if late March, for the next installment of ST, can’t come quick enough.
