- The Mantra Smiles label unleashes its happy vibes with release by Maskio in the shape of two productions, the first in Humanoid and the second in Pelota.
Humanoid is a nice progressive production that begins with a nice reverbed base loop. Sound effects continue to make their mark as the track progresses as does an Arabic influenced vocal sample. After the breakdown the track takes a tribal approach with rumbling drums leading into a dark and eerie finale.
Pelota on the flip is a little more upbeat with some nice quirky drums and a pretty subtle baseline, acting as the spine of the production. The track follows a pretty smooth flow with no real breaks or highlights, but nevertheless it’s chunky enough to keep it interesting.
A pretty good release that is bound to put at least one smile on your face.
