  • The latest 12” from renowned UK producer Chris Carter, Botty Funk has been long awaited after it’s first appearance on Danny Macmillan’s Inflight Sessions 2 mix which came out earlier in the year. Side A. Original Botty Funk sees Chris in top form for breaks with a slamming tech funker. Starting off with a progressive buildup, Botty Funk relies on the breaks, wobbly bass and a lonely female vocal. An acid 303 line kicks in after the build up and sci-fi vocal samples make an appearance in the middle. Good for darker dancefloors. Side AA. Future Funk Squad Robotic Mix Future Funk Squad’s take on Botty Funk gives the tune crispier breaks and adds in a little 2-steppy shuffle to the kick drums. Thankfully he’s kept the elements of the original such as the female vocal sample and parts of the 303 line and this time the sci-fi vocal samples get more precedence with a repetitive “robots” sample being played throughout.
