- The very excellent Shiloh return to the Electrofly label following up on their recent singles on the label, ‘Will You Come Around’ and ‘Swerve’. This latest single, Baby comes with the smooth Original mix and the tougher Brutal mix.
The Original mix is quite downbeat and silky with its smooth piano riffs and smooth flowing beats. A silky vocal line caresses a stretched out synth melody, until it hits a nice breakdown midway, which sees the vocal line loop into action. Quite a nice production from Shiloh.
The Brutal Mix, as the name suggest, toughens out the original mix and turns it into a chunky breakbeat number, The beats gets quicker, and bouncy baselines are added, and the vocal line is effected and filtered into the production from the midpoint onwards. Definitely more suited towards a club, this mix really demonstrates the appeal of Shiloh.
Another pretty solid release from Shiloh, with both mixes really impressing on different fronts, the original more of a house number while the Brutal mix really takes things up another notch or two.
