- The next release on NY based label Elektrosila, comes from Roman S, and he delivers two original productions.
The first production, Midnight Now, is probably the better of the two with smooth string patterns flowing through the track for the most part combined with tribal like drums and a subtle melodic synth. The track, in truth, is quite nice but it certainly lacks a cutting edge.
And it’s not just the a-side that lacks the edge as the b side in Dancer also seems to lack a little direction in its approach. It does have some nice smooth elements like the bubbly pads, but all in all it just lacks that cutting edge that makes a track stand out in a set or in ones mind.
Quite a disappointing release by Roman S, a producer who is definitely capable of better productions as we have seen in the past.
