  • Gods kitchen was a night of finely chopped techno, mixed in with a dollop of trance served with some quality sound and lighting. If this was really Gods Kitchen then Dave Clarke and Chris Lawrence were Gods and they were cooking up a damn fine storm. I should say that this review is going to be a little biased, as I am a huge Dave Clarke fan. Spending the vast majority in of my night in Bohem. However I did manage catch parts of both Nervous and Chris Lawrence’s sets. It was good to see Mark Dynamix versatility, spinning some tasty techno beats towards the start of the night. Followed by another quality set by the Man behind Sydney techno Mr Biz E. Thanks John for squeezing him on the bill. Also thanks for finnishing off the night. All the Sydney acts fully complemented the internationals. I missed Dave Clarke the last time he was out here but Gods Kitchen made up for it one hundred percent. Mr Clarke once again showed Sydney his incredible skills behind the decks, tantalising the crowd with his superb abilities in both scratching and beat mixing. Although not catching a lot of Chris Lawrence’s set I was not sure that he deserved the title of Americas number one Trance Dj. Expecting something a little more I suppose from a man who carries such a profile. His sound was a little too familiar. Like that heard every weekend at clubs around Sydney. THE VENUE: Yes Gas+Bohem. Ok it was here but with plenty of space to move around and a change in position of the Dj platform in Bohem(as apposed to both Dave Angel and Transmission) made for a reasonable venue. All in all it was a great night although with my tastes I wouldn't have spent $50 to just see Chris Lawrence.
