- The duo of Lenny Vega & Rene Ortega combine as the L & R Project to deliver this absolutely chunky House production in El Santero on Jungle Boogie Records.
First up on the a-side is the absolutely enticing Original Mix. If you like your house with a hint of a Latin vibe, with some nice chunky percussion and some deep chunky full baselines then you might as well go out and grab this. This has a very large house record, with some real strength and massive dance floor appeal, especially with the Latin vocals.
Following is the not as big Lenny V Dark Dub Mix. The beats are noticeably more subdued, but despite this, there is a very interesting vibe happening with this remix. It must be the very eerie undertone that the track has throughout, or perhaps the very delicate beat patterns, but whatever it is, this track is very tasty.
On the flip is the Bear Who? Santero Ball Room Mix, and he turns in another upbeat addition to this already solid release. It’s another chunky house affair with deep baselines, as well as the Latin vibes from the original mix, especially midway into the track as it takes off in true House music style.
A pretty solid release here from Jungle Boogie Records, with 3 tracks that have their own little flavour.
