Chris Fortier - Losing Wait

  • Losing Wait by Chris Fortier has been doing the rounds for quite some time now, especially after Chris featured it on his Bedrock mixed album quite some time ago. Now it looks set to finally get a full release on Fortier’s very own FDS Recordings. On the a-side is the Main Mix and it features the trademark sounds of a Fortier production. The intense tribal like drum patterns as well as the floaty atmospheric elements make their mark on the production that also features some strong vocal touches as well. Turn it over to the flip and you firstly have the very solid Deep Dub, the mix that featured on the Bedrock CD. For good reason too, as it is a very solid production with good flows of subtle sounds and effects, but most of all, a very chunky baseline with plenty of groove. The Reprise follows and it showcases the vocal elements as well as the atmosphere of the Main mix and Dub. A pretty solid release here on FDS, but you can’t help but feel that the wait was slightly too long.
