Nutrition - Skyline Dreamer

  • Next up on Play Recordings is a bit of breaks package that has already seen support from the likes of Cass, Jonathan Lisle and James Zabiela. The release here is by Nutrition and the track, Skyline Dreamer comes armed with two solid remixes. First up on the a-side is the Blake Potter & Stefan Anion Scaling Remix. It’s a bit of a prog breaks number this, with smooth flowing break beats surrounded by atmospheric strings and synths, as well as tingling melodic patterns and smooth vocal wails. The track flows delightfully throughout, and is sure to provide many a blissful summer moment. Turn it over and you first have the Rektchordz Remix, a remix that has already seen strong support from CDR. The track is a little more grittier then the other 2 mixes, featuring a rippling baseline that is quite chunky and works quite well with the beats and the other surrounding elements. Tasty stuff. The Original Mix is up at last, and the duo of Tony Estrada and Jeff Devas turn in quite a cheeky original cut here. The beats and percussion are quite twisted and they work quite interestingly with the surrounding elements that are quite uplifting in many ways. I must say that this is quite a nice release here from Play, with three pretty contrasting breaks productions, all with solid cutting edge elements.
