- The next release on Canadian based Eyezcream Recordings comes from DJ DLG as he puts the first part of his Epiphany EP to the test.
Let It Go on the a-side is a classic funky electro fuelled production as it builds with a strong kick drum and soon introduces filtered riffs and a nice electro baseline. Despite its funky edge, it’s a production that is definitely suited to a more peak time moment in the set as it has a relentless flow throughout.
Turn it over and you have The Drums, a production that is noticeably smoother and not as intense as the a-side. Despite this, the track is again another peak time style track with filtered riffs alongside a smooth bouncing baseline and strong percussive influences in the few breakdowns it has.
Not a bad first disc to this EP, a release that will have those who like it funky with a bit of grit happy to no end!
