- Next up on the Irish based Shine Recordings imprint is a release from Paul Hamill by the name of Jam The Box. Accompanying the Original mix is a remix from Tribal faves Peace Division as well as a couple of DJ tools done by the Peace Division boys themselves.
The Original Mix is undeniably one of the chunkiest tracks I have heard in a while. Massive drum loops combine with a quite thunderous baseline that drives the track very well. The production steps up a notch in the breakdown where a nice piano line combines with the tone of the baseline to give this track another edge. Great work.
On the flip the Peace Division lads turn in a pretty solid remix with the usual trademarks. Solid tribal beats and a solid set of low end sounds make this another chunky remix by the lads, which for me though is outperformed by the brilliant a-side.
The Beats and Accapella tool are also quite helpful to make this release a very good return from the Shine label.
