For one thing; the lines. 1000s of people queued outside Nikki Beach that day, some even withstanding up to 4 hours of the sweltering heat.
What eagerly awaited them was an absolute madhouse of, what seemed like everyone on South Beach, jamming to superstar DJs and Pete Tong’s legendary voice overs. Highlights of the day were James Zabiela’s almost hypnotic sounding breaks’ track which lasted over 10 minutes, and Deep Dish’s play of a not yet played out version of Technotronic’s Pump Up the Jam. The day was all sunshine, burgers from Nikki Beach’s BBQ, and killer mojitos, set against the backdrop of some of the world’s best DJs. Not too shabby for an afternoon in the sun.
