  • Bleu setup the DJ stand on the dance floor for the night. This reduces the dance floor a bit, but gives the crowd and DJ a great up-close experience. The decks were limited to CDs, with the temporary platform - vinyl just isn't a good option. Sean Michaels opened up the main floor and got things moving. Sean is a resident DJ at Bleu. Dayhota was delayed an hour getting through customs at the Detroit border for Canada and US. Dayhota has a loyal following in Detroit. There were quite a few warm welcomes to see her come in from Toronto. Dayhota's set was pretty good, it wasn't her best. She built up momentum quickly and brought a lot of people onto the dance floor. She's been known to throw in new tracks and some deep bass. Surely reducing her time had her compressing her planned tracks. DJ Rap arrived around 12:30 and worked right into the mix Dayhota had going. Then she pulled more people out on the floor. I think everyone was on the floor at some point during her set. The beats got into a tribal bass at times and the crowd loved it. There were a lot of smiles and laughter all around. The Girls of Bleu were dressed in skimpy black outfits. There were a couple bachelorette parties present and it was Monica's birthday too. Everyone had a great time, even in the downstairs where Sean Michaels was playing hip-hop booty. Overall - not a lot of people, but those present had a great time listening to two lovely lady DJs in a close setting.
