- New nights are a dime a dozen in old Melbourne town, there's always plenty to do on any given night, the trick is finding the good ones! I ventured on down to Word Bar on Saturday night to check out this one, a 'ladies' night in the very best sense of the word, 3 femme's on the decks, and Keltec in support, house/tech/breaks/electro, and all manner of synthetic dancefloor bizness.
Late as usual, I arrived around 12:30 to see Miss Chris on the decks, whippin' up a storm, and a packed dancefloor lapping it all up! So early in the night, and the whole place was heaving, I headed to the outdoor seating to conserve my energy and have a chinwag... very plush venue I might add!
Keltec got on the decks a little later, and continued the dancefloor assault, funkin' break-beat mayhem like only he can, but I have to say, I'd all but forgotten the preceding music by the time Sass got onto the decks, she fired up and kicked ass all the way home, heavy, bass-driven electro/house till 5am, at which time the still-full dancefloor had to be forcibly kicked out, such was the vibe!
Look out for this one people, it's coming around in the not-too-distant future, and you'd be most foolish to miss it. Doesn't come much cooler than this.
