- Powerplant music's third release comes in the shape of Acid Brownies from the teaming of John Morgan and Kevin Shiu.
The Original mix kicks off from the start with a dirt edged electroish groove that keeps busy with stabby synths,glitchy percussion and tweaky vocal cut working around each other.The pace is set as the temperature rises a bit further as springy,delayed sounds take over which constantly layer and reshape providing something incredibly quirky.
On the remix is brothers Colin & Justin Moreh aka Shiloh.They inject a wash of steroidic elements on top of a refreshed bassline along with utilising the originals stabby synths to maximum effect.The energy is kept at full pressure,dropping only for the break as the stabs are flanged,pulling us back down before powering ahead with the addition of choppy,airy pads.
Overall you can't fault this release.It's packed full of excitement with two standalone mixes.
