  • Feralcode's imprint sees their third release oozing underground appeal as fellow Hungarian Adam Huszar - Retroid lays down a two tracker, moving away from his more melodic style with a highly charged sound - The Glitch disco Ep. First up is Glitch disco, bringing together a tight mix of clippy percussive elements that layer from the start together with broken beats, delayed sounds and sub bass. This all gathers momentum as a busy bassline begins to take control of a deep, powerful mood before the beats drop out, shifting to 4/4 while all the time an aggressive synthline picks it up a notch as a breathy, pulsating sound continuously hypnotise us. By the break another emotive melody has worked its way in and providing something of epic proportions. Track two is My friend swn which takes the shape of chunky, toughened beats along with an incessant, funk driven bassline that gradually gathers momentum. We're given a taste of what's to come as angry, flanged snares make themselves known and before long hell has broken loose as glitchy sounds and bleeps take over, the groove getting more angry and twisted the further it progresses. There's a double take remix package with Ondrays crash the system mix of My friend swn, turning out a tech based number with beckoning, tweaky melodies creeping through an acidic mood, culminating in a head-melting concoction of tonal peaks and dirty, glitchin' synth sounds. Last up is Feralcode's warm-up mix of Glitch disco, he grabs parts of the original and spews out a blistering dark, rhythmic mix of broken beats and never ending aggressive attitude making full use of scratchy synthlines and bleeping delays. Throughout the track elements are tweaked with the beats taking on new form's,the forceful flow intensifying. This is a release for the peaktime only, showing an interesting and exciting forward vision from Retroid & Feralcode records.
