- Next up on Cr2 Records is young nineteen year old Swiss producer, Danny Freakazoid. Already played by the likes of Lee Burridge, Pete Tong and Nic Fanciulli, 'The Freaks EP' is sure to put this young man on the map.
Discount is first up, and it's a very funky yet sinister piece of work. The track flows with some forceful drum patterns, but it's the main bassline that does most of the damage, bouncing its way through the production with some gritty flair. There are some nice melodic breakdowns that break up the track in parts, creating a nice well balance production.
The Nick & Danny Chatelain Mix of 'Discount' is an interesting affair, slowly moving with great funky basslines and intense builds ups that are sure to create dancefloor mayhem.
'Sunday Trip' is equally impressive as the A-side, building with solid drums and a chunky bassline that unites perfectly with the bouncy melodic pattern that comes into the track early. A quality production from the young man.
The Frazer Mix of Discount is another gritty electro reworking, flowing with dirty basslines that combine well with the melodic patterns from the original mix. It is a very impressive remix from Frazer, and adds to a superb release on Cr2.
