- Resin Records present another big 12" from the land of the long white cloud courtesy of NZ drum'n'bass producer Agent Alvin who is set to deliver tunes on labels as diverse as Full Cycle, Commercial Suicide and Cyanide. Even though On The Rise began life as a drum'n'bass tune, Alvin handed the remix duties over to Timmy Schumacher who too has released on a diverse set of labels like Passenger, Funkatech, Zone and makes this his follow up to "The Bass Is Injected" released on Resin.
Tim makes this one easy to mix from a DJ's perspective opening up the tune with a long breakbeat with vocalist Spikey Tee dropping introductory toasts. Then Spikey takes control of the mic with a solo bongo during the first drop. It's not long before Schumacher's phat, stadium rocking bassline sound kicks in with sub-shattering force with ravey synths holding fort up top making this one a ragga-rave crossover. If you're ready for the boom blast, give this one a listen - it's bound to be massive. Flip this one over for the dub mix which features less of Spikey's vocals (mainly the chorus and intro) fed through plenty of dubby delays.
