Washington – Brooklyn In Brixton/Dica

  • Steve Lawler’s production and studio partner, Ian Barclay-Jones is the man responsible for Washington – that alone should be enough to sell itself - pulling out some quality dancefloor friendly progressive house. Side A. Brooklyn In Brixton Banging progressive house with a nice synth melody, wobbly bassline and a thumping bass drum. Quite interesting to use a chainsaw sample in the background and all the madness is helped out with some vocal samples on top. Definitely an awesome tune for the dancefloor. Side B. Dica Starting off with a basic beat that sounds quite similar to a sped up version of Nice Inch Nail’s Closer, Dica is a flashback to the early days of rave house. Using a really wicked melodic bass line and some breakdowns incorporated, the atmosphere builds up quickly especially with the 303 line added in for an extra touch of nostalgia. Climax track and really should be the A-side.
