  • Being one of the last outdoor events as summer comes to a close and the dreaded winter comes upon us I was praying that for one brief day the weather would hold out. I was mistaken…….. Unfortunately I was awoken by the sound of rain :( Putting it aside I put my Wellington boots on and trudged out to Moore Park to get amongst it not letting it worry me. On my arrival I was pleasantly surprised as to the layout of the party, we had access to the lake which made for a nice chillout area. It was good to see such a turnout of enthusiasts with the weather not being on our side. First things first we had a few beers, sat around did some chin waggin bla bla bla until we heard the sweet sound of Cassius. I was expecting big things from this French house act and let me tell you they satisfied me 100%. Good job Frenchy’s….. The crowd were having a good old fashioned ‘danceathon’ hands in the air, loving this tunes it was truly a good all round funky house/disco etc etc set. . But for me the highlight would have to be when they dropped there ever famous “The Sound of Violence” (exxttteeeennnnddddeeedddddd versionmay I add) All round thumbs up! Moving on to a man that needs no introduction the ever famous Derrick Carter it became evident why they had chosen to give him the final set. He was bangin all the way for a good hour and a half, his mixing was excellent his track selection was duely timed as he managed to read the crowd and deliver what we all came for “Good music” Nice work….. So all in all a nice way to round out the summer….Cheers Fuzzy and to you the people behind Moonlight!!
