San Francisco’s OM records must be the guiding light in a dark global scene where record labels who promote good music are finding it difficult to make ends meet. Add the OM recipe for success with Kaskade (Ryan Raddon), a producer who’s records flood the boxes of world class DJ’s on both sides of the Atlantic the moment they hit the record stores and before even listening to this album I knew I was in store for something of the highest order.
Expectations met, super seeded and immediately I hit replay. This album is going round again and I’m not the only one within ear shot of my stereo who is pleased about it. Easy laid back house grooves take is not unexpected beginning to an OM album, but “Meditation To The Groove”, “I Feel Like” and “What I Say” have the key element which makes a house record of this nature standout. Intelligence. This album is put together by someone with a wealth of talent, intelligence and an Idea of how to make the roots of house music come alive.
Vocalists Josyln, Rob Wannamaker and Amy Michelle are the perfect allies for the Kaskade sound and combined produce hit after hit which stand out and treat the listner to an experience they won’t readily forget because they won’t take it out of their CD player for weeks. A great record, a great experience and hats off to a great house music producer.
