White Label @ Bar Europa

  • It was time for another party from the crew at Sound Therapy at the traditional venue, Bar Europa. Interestingly enough, it was called White Label rather than another installment of Sound therapy, however despite the name change; the crew was up to their old tricks. Good tunes, friendly people, and a sweet sound system in an intimate setting. It was a free night also to celebrate Nick’s birthday (joint promoter), Early on in the night Justin Newton & Piero had things moving along very nicely. Blending in some older cuts like Breeder’s classic mix of Orbital’s “Nothing Left” with some newer hits like Junkie XL’s mix of “Emerge” by Fischerspooner. They moved from smooth deep house into some tougher edged prog, and had the small dancefloor packed as they both hit their stride. Ari Klinger took his set from the downtempo with Da Hool’s “Get Funky” to the more peak time with Three Drive’s classic “Greece 2000” in his 45 minute spell. Kris Foo followed him with some delicious progressive cuts such as James Zabiela’s mix of “Homegrown” by Boomclick, Chab’s mix of Muzik’s “Organik”, and Fluke’s “Hang Tough” just to name a few. The DJ’ing brotherly duo of Tony and Max Plowman then finished of the night with some highlight tunes such as Luke Chable’s “Sealers Cove” and “Seduction” by Funktion. I made my way out at close to 3 and later heard that the party marched on to the early hours of 5. I can see why! A great night had yet again at Bar Europa (tends to happen regularly) and we can only wait in anticipation for another ST event.
