Firstly on the a-side is the Original Mix. It begins with some broken beats and the subtle vocal line that only acts as a tease before the big beats come in with a devastating baseline. The track rides on the breaks and low end sounds, until it meets a rumbling electro synth midway into the track, which in itself introduces some nice high end melodies that really give this production a great edge. A very pleasing break beat production from this duo.
On the flip is the FFS ‘Dirty’ Dub. The broken beats are not as intense as the original, however the original electro riff remains in this reworking. Not only have they reworked the drums, but the baseline also takes a weird and twisted droning formation, essentially giving the track the ‘Dirtiness’. The nice melodic influences from the original are also included for good measure.
A very satisfying release from the studio of FFS and Madam breaks. This is dirty sinister break beat at its very best.
