Luke Chable – Melburn / Into the Storm

  • The ever impressive and much in form Luke Chable is next up on the pretty solid Bedrock Breaks with another 2 quality tracks to add to a pretty impressive collection. It is safe to say that Luke definitely has been one of the best producers in the game for the last year, and he tries to continue his good run of production work with a solid breakbeat cut in Melburn, and a downtempo mix of 2003’s ‘After the Storm’. On the a-side, and first up, is the very nice Melburn. The title may miss the mark on the correct spelling of his home town, however, the production is right on the money. The track builds nicely with a healthy culmination of drums and hats early on. The main synth riff soon makes its entrance and from the point it does, really makes the track its own. The quality of Luke’s production work really shines here, as the sounds seem to blend together like butter and hot toast, and the sounds maintaining a warm vibe throughout. Quality work yet again from Mr. Chable. Into the Storm on the flip is a stunning beatless interpretation of his classic ‘After the Storm’. Essentially using the same elements, such as the beautiful melodic sounds, soothing atmospheric soundscapes as well as the wailing vocals, it is clear to see why Luke decided to make such a version of this track. Stunning to say the least. A pretty solid release yet again from Luke Chable, and of course the Bedrock Breaks stable. Two contrasting productions that are sure to please.
