- The first release on Solar Recordings, a sub label of the Spanish based Stereo Productions, comes from producer Martin H. The production, Over, comes with an original mix as well as remixes from De Nada and Inkfish.
The Original Mix on the a-side is a pretty storming production from the word go, as solid drums meet a techy electro synth line. The track builds with these elements, combined with vocal effects that give the track a nice little edge. Pretty tough, this track is sure to work well in a dark late night set.
First up on the b-side is the De Nada Mix, and it is a remix that is just as tough and gritty as the original mix. Tough tribal drums set the foundations as vocal effects and nice pads also keep the groove flowing. Nice little melodic tones trickle in the production giving it a nice little tough in the second half of the production.
The Inkfish Mix is perhaps a little disappointing as it is a little too similar to the original mix. Unlike the De Nada mix which added a few elements, this remix fails to deliver anything that the original was missing.
Not a bad release to start off a new label, with the De Nada remix impressing, as well as the original mix which also impresses.
