- The team who make up SFX Beats are two Spanish DJ's - DJ Rasco & DJ Isy, who put out the very first single for en:vision recordings offshoot, re:connect. Carnival and Hungry are two uptempo breaks tunes aimed straight at the dancefloor and will definitely do some damage.
Side A. Carnival
Carnival, as the name suggests, has a real carnival/party vibe to it. Opening up with a syncopated tech funk rhythm, the track features a funky tech hook and plenty of latin percussive elements to emphasise a chunky groove. After the first buildup, the funky horn riffs come blaring out with a big bouncy bassline and 4/4 beat to back them up. Really uplifting breaks piece.
Side B. Hungry
Hungry on the flip side is a darker and dirtier affair, yet still oozing funk from every orifice. The track opens up with crisp breakbeat, springy tech sounds and bells before settling into the first build up. The build up features more spring sounds and synth stabs before it unleashes a Dooms Night like bass line and groovy percussive breaks on the speakers.
