Habersham - Into The M

  • Habersham has been quite in good form over the last year, most noticeably with his productions with Phil K as well as a host of productions solo that have really put him in the spotlight. This latest release, Into The M, unleashes the Existence Records imprint in pretty good style. The Original Mix is first up resulting in one of Habersham’s deeper records in quite a while. The features are, however, a very smooth baseline that gives the track a real funk, as well as an array of smooth atmospheric effects and of course the tight trademark beat patterns of Habersham’s work. First up on the flip, label owner Paul K & Paul S unleash the first remix, and it is quite a smooth delicate remix that would work quite well early in a set. Smooth baselines and a cute melody in the loop are the main strong points to this pretty impressive remix. The Mikel Curcio Remix follows and it gets even deeper with a remix that almost entirely focuses on the low end sound spectrum. Quite evil and moody in parts, the remix is quite unique to say the least. A pretty solid debut release but you cant help but want that little bit extra from a Habersham release.
