Chris Udoh - Everyday of the week

  • The first of this years music from the Fade camp comes compliments of Us Dj&Producer Chris Udoh.Chris's credentials stretch back to the late 80's with some high profile residencies under his belt most notably a two year stint at Fabric,London and these days as a member of Tigerhook Corp is a consistent force on the scene. Everyday of the week leans towards the techy side as the Original mix kicks off from the beginning with a fuzzy concoction of warpy vocals, clicky percussion and pumping groove all gradually gathering a dirtier pace as an undercurrent of gurgling bassline, pulls the mood deeper. While this is taking place contrasting stabs, chords and elongated pads creep in,out re-shaping the dynamics into something with gritty attitude. On the flip side is a Chris Fortier remix. The fade records supremo creates a take that holds on to the essence of the original yet events take place at a slower pace, rumbling angrily from the start with a tougher edge.Head melting acid lines work their way in ,easing off for a dissipating break and chugging ahead again till its end. Exciting music from both Udoh and Fortier, not for the faint hearted.
