Magistus - Good Air

  • The first release on Mark Kennedy's new label venture, Psyence Records. Side A: Original mix Mark Kennedy's original mix of Good Air is quite a decent track, one that pushes a progressive edge. The track features a nice baseline with some decent sounding effects. It does have a nice build-up before hitting back to the major baseline but the track fails to really hit that spot. Overall it is a decent sound but it's just lacking something, give it a listen maybe you will disagree... Side B: Big Head remix On the other hand, Big Heads remix of this track is definitely the better of the two. It is a fairly laid back style track but its deep baseline and very ambient sounds, a dripping noise that gives the track a very basement type feel. Hitting a nice mid-section this remix continues with some more very fitting effects (quality to say the least), before the baseline kicks back in and then the full sounds of the track stamp their way back in. A great progressive mix by Big Head, who is the production partner of big name South American DJ and producer, Hernan Cattaneo.
