Jurassic 5 - Power in Numbers

  • J5 are back with their latest "Power in Numbers" following their critically acclaimed "Quality Control". Definitely a one for the CD collection for the Hip-hop lovers. A jazzy number in "If you only knew" states that "what we do is try to give you what you ain't used to" which is backed up by the rest of the album. At the end of track three they have a recored voice of some westie telling J5, "I saw you at the Gold Coast and Melbourne BDO and you fuckin rule". And they do. (At least I think so) Most of you may have already heard track 8 "What's Golden" on the radion and like myself loved it but the one to watch out for is the following track which is their collaboration with Nelly Furtado "Thin Line". Other standouts are High Fidelity, Sum of Us and I am Somebody. It also include some rap/poetry from Kook Keith and some mixed samples at the end. Definitely a more mature sound from the J5 and I am eager for their next tour. The Tracklisting: 1 This is 2 Freedom 3 If you only knew 4 Break 5 React 6 A Day at the Races 7 Remeber His Name 8 What's Golden 9 Thin Line 10 After School Special 11 High Fidelity 12 Sum of Us 13 DDT 14 One of Them 15 Hey 16 I am Somebody 17 Acetate Prophecies Enjoy :)
