Philly's newest midweek party jumped off the starting gate like an Olympic sprinter Wednesday night. Elective, brought to you by Propaganda, is poised to provide the city of brotherly love with some much needed music education.
Elective's definitely got the pieces in place. Plush Old City lounge Triada creates a sumptuous, relaxing atmosphere with projected images, soft and plentiful seating, and an elegant blend of multicolored lights. Not to mention plenty of drink specials to quench that summer thirst. Located at 120 Market St. Philadelphia, PA, Triada is easy to get to, and guaranteed to lure in some Old City eye candy.
Resident DJ's Nick Cosmo, Fullcircle, Dan Trevitt, and Hahn Solo had heads bobbing from 10pm till closing, with eclectic electronic beats ranging from chilled-out to ass-shaking, played over a sound system with enough oomph to do the beats justice without making conversation impossible. By midnight, the couches were full and the dancefloor was hopping-I'm talking hula hooping hotties and the whole nine. Elective looks to fulfill its promise by bringing in some big name DJ's on a regular basis, including some international talent next week. Check out www.elective.com to find out more about the new Deans of your Music Education. It may be summer, but class is in session.
