When Mourad Mazouz decided to create a new arts club and restaurant called Sketch, his first step was to enlist a hot young designer, Noe Duchaufour Lawrence, as his collaborator. Noe and Mourad then invited a selection of designers to create bespoke objects and sculptures for the interior, including Ron Arad, Mark Dawson Bell, Chris Levine, Vincent Leroy and Jurgen Bey. The next step was a visit to Pierre Gagnaire, the Parisian three star Michelin chef, to ask him to recommend a chef. Gagnaire instead asked if he could be chef. Astounded, Mourad agreed immediately. The resulting unique club-come-restaurant-come-art-space comprises of two restaurants, two bars, a gallery, a DJ bar and patisserie and the most talked about toilets in London.
