Coming from the Tunisian alternative music scene, Deena works to inject a dose of innovation and experimentation in Electro Dance Music in Tunisia. By combining urban rhythms and personal touch, it offers avant-garde music particularly energetic.
She debuts by accompanying jazzman Fawzi Cheki- li and the group “So Soulful” and joins in 2011 the World Full Of Bass DJs collective, introduced by Zied Meddeb Hamrouni, one of the first performers of experimental electronic music in Tunisia. In 2014, just before moving to Toulouse/France, she was involved with Arabstazy’s artists and performed live sets with them or alone in numerous European and north African cities.
Her latest release KLABB on InFiné is an outstanding fusion of footwork and social commentary, reminding us of the anything but political roots of dance music.
She now works to inject a heavy dose of innovation into the realms of electronic and club music and crafts a futuristic sonic world that is defiantly experimental.
Beyond these own productions, Deena just produced a track for the latest Fever Ray' album (An Itch) and work on music for contemporary choreographers.
