Marco Coccolo and Enrico Zaina brought the DIE HAUSTIERE project to list in 2004. They both started as solo DJs in a small town in Northeast Italy, between Venice and Udine. Subsequently, they realized that together they shared numerous musical talents, and thus decided to embark on this new adventure. Early on, they booked performances in small bars and clubs, drawing attention and success. The number of people who attended these performances continued to grow. Within their first year, their name became well-known among people involved in the Friulan techno scene. DIE HAUSTIERE’s big breakthrough moment was in 2006, at the famous Suburbia in Udine. Their performance made the crowd go crazy, and because of that, they received a special compliment from the guest of honor, Peter Dundov. From then on, their performances continued – but not just in Italy. Two performances, one at the Slovenian Club, Ambassada Gavioli, and one at Marco Polo, helped bring DIE HAUSTIERE’s sound beyond the Italian border. DIE HAUSTIERE’s recognizable sound was influenced by artists such as Villalobos and Sven Vaeth. In 2007, they started working on their first production. Numerous digital label releases push DIE HAUSTIERE to always strive to perfect themselves as artists, which would then add depth and perfection to their music. In 2008, the track Recuerdos Mahahual was released in vinyl by Superfancy Records and became the third bestselling disc from the German label, Straight Distribution. The bridge had been gapped between DIE HAUSTIERE and Frankfurt’s music scene. Artists such as Matt Star, Basti Grub, and the famous radio and label Big City Beats were captivated by the demos that they received from DIE HAUSTIERE. They decided to issue three releases, some in vinyl, on their 2010 label Mainakustik Records, Hohenregler Rec & BCB Tech. Other expected vinyl releases in 2010 will be from the labels Underground Ltd. and Blickfeld Rec (an exclusive of decks.de). The above examples are only some from the hard work of Marco Coccolo and Enrico Zaina. Because of these productions, there is a long list of performances in Frankfurt and the surrounding areas, in such clubs as Mtw, Vinylbar, Missing Link, and Hollow Club. The dance floor is always packed, and DIE HAUSTIERE is ready to play in any part of the world, so keep your ears wide open!
