Regarded as one of Malta’s most precious musical talents, Glenn Frantz possesses the raw, natural aptitude to produce magic, both in the studio and behind the turntables...
Drawing his primary influences from a host of Progressive House artists, including Dave Seamen, Nick Warren, John Digweed and needless to say, the legendary Sasha, Glenn Frantz’s interest in electronic dance music was born way-back in 1998, at the tender age of just 16 years young.
Landing his first DJ residency in 1999, Glenn found himself propelled to the forefront of Malta’s clubbing scene, regularly playing at the island’s foremost nightclub of the time, ‘Axis’. This explosion onto the local electronic dance music circuit was followed-by a host of guest appearances at high-profile parties across Malta, where Glenn soon became a Nation’s favourite, hotly dubbed as a star of the future...In the space of 5 illustrious years, between 2000 and 2005, Glenn had already played alongside an array of World class talents, including James Zabiela, Antoine Clamaran, Jan Johnston, Jeff Mills and Tall Paul, to name but a few.
Subsequent to his proven natural ability to consistently deliver formidably atmospheric sets, within some of the most highly pressurised environments, Glenn was discovered by Fresh Music Agency, Malta's leading Electronic Dance Music Events Management Agency. Recognized for bringing some of the finest in electronic dance music talents to Malta, across a variety of genres, Fresh provided Glenn with a series of unique opportunities to further ply his trade. Such opportunities included Glenn on line-ups alongside John Digweed, Sasha, and Pete Tong, as well as a memorable appearance at the Maltese edition of the World famous Creamfields Festival in 2011.
As Glenn has evolved as a coveted artist throughout Maltese dance music culture, he now finds his affection towards Italian inspired Deep House and Techno is where his future lies. Concerting his efforts into maintaining a strict music policy, Glenn regularly headlines several of Malta’s darker and deeper underground electronic dance music events.
Earning reputable residencies at both ‘Cosa Nostra’ and ‘Get Involved’, over the past 18 months Glenn has been found spinning records alongside the likes of Tale of Us, Guy J, Guy Gerber, Henrik Saiz and Maceo Plex, as Malta’s forward-thinking underground dance music scene has gathered significant pace and prestige.
Furthermore, Glenn Frantz has since become one-half of the formidable duo ‘Fundamental’. This newly forged partnership has turned heads from every corner of the Maltese dance music scene, and with his partner in crime ‘Daniel Simler’ of a similar ilk, there is great expectancy amongst their followers, for some very special future collaborations from these two irrefutably talented musicians.
Over the span of a 14 year playing career, which has seen Glenn experiment with a variety of sub-genres from within the fields of both House and Techno, this born natural DJ has also found himself in the studio mastering the art of production.
With his inimitable sound depicted as somewhere between Deep House and Progressive House, with hints of Italian inspired Techno, Glenn is joining Guerilla Agency with a wealth of ideas, visions and experiences, which should help propel him to the helm of a new breed of Maltese producers.
