I've collected music, lots of it, since the 80s.
I learnt how to drop a beat in '95.
I play records sometimes and help run a small booking agency for Croatian label, Burek.
Bonez has been involved in various ways (DJing, organizing illegal parties and club nights, providing decor services) in the free party and club scenes in the British Midlands ever since he woke up from a 3 day wonky weekend in the early 90s in a pool of mud with a speaker stack looming over him in a comforting fashion.
Major influences include the legendary 90s stalwarts of the Midlands underground house and techno scene, genre defining nights such as House Of God in Birmingham, the Electric Chair in Manchester and the DiY and Smokescreen parties of the East Midlands.
Exiled from the UK in the mid-00s for trading state disco secrets to the Norwegians, he found himself in Hungary on a mission to evangelize about "de beat", "dis groove" and "dat acid line".
Had been playing, once again after the break of the mid-00s, on FM radio in Hungary and at various events around Budapest - quickly earning a reputation for surprising those who thought they had him neatly placed in a box with his genre abusing sets. Moved back to the UK to establish an agency alongside his friends from Burek, practice his canal boat steering and to hang around in dingy spaces underground.
In his spare time, he likes baking cakes, clubbing (small animals to death), being generally annoying and extreme ironing.
Talks about himself in the third person, especially the past particular, far too much.
