I have a lot of opinions you probably won't agree with. I put rap and electronic in a blender and made a music smoothie (oh and I added berries).
Tough girl with a slick tongue, Miel embodies the lifestyle behind her bad gal persona. The American rapper, singer, producer, and songwriter has a backstory that reads like an alternate version of the musical drama. Daughter of two Navy officers, Miel has never lived in one place for longer than two years. This migration has been a huge influence on her signature sound. Infusing unapologetic rap vocals into various subgenres of house, trance, and trap, her unique take of electronic music has earned her praise by critics and fans for her undeniable talent, cool new sound, and edgy lyrics.
Her bass-heavy, sexually charged number called “Ill Mind” put her in the public eye. Being an overnight success, BBC and NME gave the track rave reviews. In 2017, she is releasing her debut EP featuring several tracks influenced by house music. Her ability to flow over beats no one else would even go near is impressive. Miel is also relocating to London the same year to work on her debut full-length album.
